Our Community

At Qscan, we are proud to be Queenslanders and actively take part in our community, at a local, state, national and international level. Both as a company and at an individual level, the Qscan team are proactively committed to being responsible leaders by investing time, money and skills to support community initiatives and events including:

Qscan was a major sponsor for the 2015 Clayfield College Foundation – Audi Centre Brisbane Dinner Dance Event. In 2015 the event was held at Cloudland, one of Brisbane’s most iconic and sophisticated Brisbane venues. This inaugural fundraising dinner dance raises worthwhile funds through entertainment, raffles and other initiatives which then go directly to resources and facilities for the College and children.

Qscan was the major sponsor for the St Andrew’s War Memorial Hospital’s 2015 Sports Meet event. We partnered with St Andrew’s as a major sponsor for this Continuing Professional Development Program.

Qscan was a 2013 and 2014 Platinum Sponsor of The Gold Coast Lord Mayoress Winter Charity Ball which aspires to raise funds to support local charities and those in need across the Gold Coast. Recipients of the 2014 Mayoress Charity Ball include YHES House Southport, Rosie’s, Havafeed Community Relief, Oz Harvest and Surfers Paradise Anglican Crisis Centre.

Qscan partnered with Gold Coast Audi Centre for the Audi Red Boot Rally where the driving funds go towards the children’s charity Ronald McDonald House to support seriously ill children and their families. In 2014, we helped to raise over $25,000 for the charity which will help service programs across South East Queensland. One of these programs was the two new special family rooms located in the new Gold Coast University Hospital in the parklands precinct, located in Southport.

Qscan are Platinum Sponsors of the 2014 Gold Coast University Hospital Foundation Ball.

Qscan purchased a 21 seat minibus for the Southport Surf Club for transport of Surf Life Savers and Nippers in 2014 in support of local surf lifesaving initiatives.

From 2007 to 2014 Qscan has sponsored local athletes Shannon Eckstein and Caine Eckstein in achieving their goals of Australian Surf Life Saving, Iron Man and Coolangatta Gold Champions.

Qscan has also supported many other local athletes, including Haley Bateup, Les Sherrington, Liz Pluimers and Zane Holmes. Qscan has also supported individual sponsorship for women’s professional basketball players in national women’s basketball competition.

Qscan sponsored a running team in the Gold Coast Marathon in support of the Queensland Cancer Council.

In 2014 Qscan Partner Dr David Leggett participated in an 800km ride from Davenport to Hobart in Tasmania raising awareness for the early detection of bowel cancer. This event raised $150,000 for the Jodie Lee Foundation.

In 2012 Qscan Partner Dr David Leggett participated in the 1200km charity bike ride from Brisbane to Longreach. This endeavour raised over $200,000 to support the Royal Flying Doctor Service Queensland branch for their work in outback Queensland including the RFDS’s focus on improving mental health in remote communities. A personal highlight for Dr Leggett was meeting a former patient in Blackall, who had been evacuated to the Mater Private Hospital by the RFDS after a life threatening brain haemorrhage. Dr Leggett successfully treated a brain aneurysm in the Mater Private Hospitals’ Cardiovascular Unit. Qscan Radiology Clinics contributed sponsorship to this event.
