Dr David Leggett

Dr David Leggett is a graduate of the University of Queensland (1992) and completed his internship and residency at the Royal Brisbane Hospital.

David trained in diagnostic radiology at the Royal Brisbane Hospital, completing the RANZCR specialist college of radiology examinations in 2001 as the highest performing candidate in Queensland. In 2002 and 2003 David undertook a fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at the prestigious Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, USA. Additional fellowship training in cardiac MRI was undertaken at the Prince Charles Hospital during 2002. Interventional Neuroradiology training was completed at the RBWH in 2005.

David has been employed as an Interventional Radiologist at the Princess Alexandra Hospital since August 2003 where he is the Director of Interventional Neuroradiology. He also provides interventional radiology cover at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital and the Wesley Hospital.

David's subspecialty interests include all aspects of interventional radiology, imaging and intervention of the liver, particularly pertaining to the diagnosis and percutaneous treatment of hepatocellular cancer, vascular radiology including MR angiography and the endovascular treatment of intracranial aneurysms and vascular lesions.

David is a keen conference participant including local and international presentations, plays an active role in registrar teaching and imaging research.
