Dr Gary Shepherd completed his Medical Degree at the University of Queensland in 2000 graduating with First Class Honours and was awarded a University Medal for Scholastic Achievements. Previous to this he completed a Veterinary Degree at the University of Queensland, graduating in 1996. Gary’s internship was completed at the Gold Coast Hospital in 2001, and this was followed by a position as a non training Orthopaedic Registrar at the Toowoomba Hospital in 2002.
Gary was accepted into the Radiology program and completed the College Fellowship Exit Examination in June 2007. In 2008 he completed the Musculoskeletal Fellowship at Qscan Radiology Clinics. During this time, Gary co-authored a chapter for the Clinics of North America in MRI of Sporting Injuries of the Hand and Wrist.
Gary is currently working as a private radiologist in Qscan Radiology Clinics. His subspecialty interests include Musculoskeletal Radiology, Sports Medicine, MRI and Image Guided Musculoskeletal Injections.
