15/08/2016

Qscan Radiology Clinics are proud to announce the launch of their new healthcare patient app ‘Qscan Patient Access’. As of 1 August 2016, the ‘Qscan Patient Access’ app will provide online delivery of reports and images for patients, with electronic access via a smartphone, tablet or an online portal designed specifically for patients.

Qscan recognises that mobile phones and mobile internet devices are an increasingly important feature of Australia’s healthcare communications landscape. With over 79% of Australian’s now owning smartphone technology, Qscan’s launch of ‘Qscan Patient Access’ reinforces their continued commitment to providing cutting edge services to meet the demand of referrers’ and patient’s needs.

Managing Director of Qscan Radiology Clinics, Dr Mark Burgin, says that the advancement in digital technology will continue to enhance a patient’s healthcare experience. “A growing body of evidence demonstrates that patients who are more actively involved in their healthcare, experience better health outcomes.” Dr Burgin said.

“We believe that the introduction of ‘Qscan Patient Access’ app will help foster clinician–patient collaboration and support seamless care for patients across the community.”

In conjunction with their referring practitioner, patients can now use their new mobile app and online health portal to easily maintain their health profile along each step of their life journey, with personal access to reports and key images. With the convenience of no film storage or waiting to collect reports and images, Qscan is excited to be able to provide this innovative and improved patient experience.
