Qscan’s state-of-the-art PET-CT Centre at North Lakes has been well received by cancer patients such as Tom Murphy (pictured above on the PET-CT scanner). Mr Tom Murphy, who lives in Kippa Ring, said he was glad that he no longer has to travel the distance to Brisbane for his scans.
“Having to go to Brisbane takes up three-quarters of your day. It’s all done in an hour now. Getting treatment and tests all in one place is fantastic. It takes a lot of the stress out,” Mr Murphy said.
The latest scanner from Siemens has been chosen for Qscan North Lakes because of its unparalleled image quality, lowest radiation dose and optimised patient safety and comfort. State-of-the-art technology reinforces Qscan’s reputation for excellence in imaging and the team at Qscan is continually striving to improve the level of service to their patients, referrers and the community.
Dr Mark Hansen, Director and Radiologist at Qscan Group Holdings Pty Ltd, said the scanner would provide access to the latest in cancer imaging technology for patients.
All patients with Medicare eligible indications will be bulk billed at Qscan North Lakes PET-CT Centre, and scans interpreted by Qscan’s focussed team of highly trained subspecialty oncologic radiologists.
