World Health Day is celebrated every year on 7th April, the founding day of the World Health Organisation (WHO). The WHO aims to maintain a high-profile focus on universal health via a series of events throughout 2018.
World Health Day 2018 focuses on ‘Universal Health Coverage for everyone, everywhere’, by stimulating conversations and action to expand health service coverage both nationally and internationally. Qscan is striving to expand health service coverage within Australia by opening new comprehensive radiology clinics across South-East Queensland, including our Red Hill Clinic due to open at the end of April. Qscan have also recently opened three new dedicated PET-CT centres in North Lakes, Mackay and Hobart, Tasmania. Our state of the art PET-CT facilities will provide the local community with greater access to the highest quality PET-CT imaging services, and reduce the need for interstate travel.
Aside from the government and corporations doing more to improve overall health and health coverage, everyone can take a hand in improving the overall health of the world. Simple actions such as joining your nearby gym or striving for a healthier balanced diet can have a huge impact your overall health.
