How it works?
1. Refer Your Patient
Use our dedicated Qscan Preventative Care referral form and explain the risks, benefits, and limitations to your patient.
Paper referral pads: You may also contact us to order physical referral pads if you prefer.
2. Patient Attends Appointment
Qscan’s experienced team performs the imaging. All imaging is performed in a single appointment.
3. Follow Up
Results will be available via our referrer portals. You will receive detailed radiologist reports plus an easy-to-interpret summary to support ongoing care for your patient.

These exams are for asymptomatic individuals and are not to be used as a substitute for a detailed assessment of targeted symptoms.
The referring practitioner will determine whether mammography or Contrast-Enhanced Mammography (CEM) is clinically appropriate for the individual patient. Breast screening is an additional service only available for women aged 40 years and over, or earlier if there is an increased risk of breast cancer. A sub-specialist radiologist reports all breast screening.
This service is only suitable for patients aged 18 and over. We recommend considering alternative options for younger patients.
This service is not suitable for pregnant patients due to potential risks. We recommend deferring the service until after pregnancy to ensure patient safety.
It's important that healthcare providers discuss the risks and benefits of undergoing preventative care exams with patients prior to referral. The decision to proceed with Qscan Preventative Care should be made by the patient after an informed discussion. During your consultation, explain the purpose of the scan, its risks and limitations, and the possibility of emotional and/or financial impact of incidental or unexpected findings. This ensures patients understand and are prepared for the potential outcomes and implications before booking.
