Dr David Leggett

Dr David Leggett (MBBS, FRANZCR) has been a Radiologist at Qscan Radiology Clinics since August 2006.

David graduated from the University of Queensland in 1993 and completed his internship and residency at the Royal Brisbane Hospital.

David trained in Diagnostic Radiology at the Royal Brisbane Hospital, completing the RANZCR specialist college of radiology examinations in 2001. In 2002 and 2003 David undertook a fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at the Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, USA. Additional fellowship training in Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging was undertaken at the Prince Charles Hospital during 2002. Interventional Neuroradiology training was completed at the RBWH in 2005.

David has been employed as an Interventional Radiologist at the Princess Alexandra Hospital since August 2003. He set up the Interventional Neuroradiology Service at the PAH and continues to serve at PAH as a Senior Medical Officer.

David’s subspecialty interests include all aspects of Interventional Radiology, imaging and intervention of the liver, particularly pertaining to the diagnosis and percutaneous treatment of hepatocellular cancer, Cardiovascular Radiology including CT and MR angiography and the endovascular treatment of intracranial aneurysms and vascular lesions.

David is a keen conference participant including local and international presentations, and plays an active role in registrar teaching and imaging research.
