Dr Gary Shepherd (MBBS, FRANZCR, BVsc) completed his Medical Degree at the University of Queensland in 2000 graduating with First Class Honors and was awarded a University Medal for Scholastic Achievements. Previous to this he completed a Veterinary Degree at the University of Queensland, graduating in 1996. Gary’s internship was completed at the Gold Coast Hospital in 2001, and this was followed by a position as a Registrar in Orthopaedics and Intensive Care in 2002-2003.

Gary is currently working as a private radiologist in Qscan Radiology Clinics. His subspecialty interests include Musculoskeletal Radiology, Sports Medicine, Magnetic Resonance imaging (MRI) and image guided Musculoskeletal Injections.

Gary is actively involved in radiology education and lectures and has been Co-Covenor for the QLD Annual Scientific Meeting of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists in 2012 and 2013. He also has been invited to talk at a number of state level conferences, including the Annual Scientific Meetings of the Qld Branch of Orthopaedic Surgeons and Radiologists in 2012 and 2011 respectively
