X-ray uses a small, controlled amount of radiation to produce images of bones and some soft tissue, and is commonly used to investigate injuries, joint pain and chest conditions. Images are reviewed and reported by our radiologists.
Ultrasound
Ultrasound uses sound waves to create real-time images of the body without the use of radiation. It's performed by our sonographers and reported by our radiologists. Ultrasound appointments are available at our Goodna clinic for patients across Goodna, Springfield Lakes, Redbank Plains and Camira.
- Musculoskeletal ultrasound - assessing joints, muscles, tendons and ligaments
- Vascular ultrasound - including carotid studies and other blood vessel assessments
- Pregnancy ultrasound - including early dating, nuchal translucency and morphology scans
- Ultrasound elastography - assessing tissue stiffness
Echocardiogram
An echocardiogram is an ultrasound scan of the heart, used to assess heart structure and function. It's performed by our sonographers and reported by our radiologists/cardiologists.
CT Scan
CT scanning at our Qscan Goodna clinic uses x-rays and computer processing to produce detailed cross-sectional images of the body, supporting the investigation of a wide range of conditions.
- CT calcium scoring - a specific CT scan that assesses calcium deposits in the coronary arteries
OPG, Lateral & Ceph
An OPG (orthopantomogram) is a specialised x-ray that captures a single image of the upper and lower jaw, teeth and surrounding structures, commonly used for dental and orthodontic assessment.

Interventional radiology covers image-guided procedures - including injections for pain management - performed by our radiologists as directed by your referring practitioner.
