What is an ultrasound?
An ultrasound is a type of medical imaging scan which uses high-frequency sound waves to produce images of internal body structures. This type of scan is very safe, does not involve radiation and is typically minimally invasive and pain-free.
Ultrasounds can also be used in Interventional Radiology procedures, like needle biopsies and injections, as the real-time images allow a radiologist to administer medication with precision.
At Qscan Radiology Clinics, we perform a wide range of ultrasound scans, including general, pregnancy, musculoskeletal, and vascular scans.
