Perth PET-CT Scan Services
A PET-CT scan combines positron emission tomography (PET) and computed tomography (CT) in a single scan. It shows how the tissues in your body are working, as well as their structure. Using a small amount of radioactive tracer, PET scans highlight areas with unusual cell function, helping doctors diagnose and monitor various conditions, including cancer.
PET-CT is available at both of our Perth clinics. Your scan is reported by our dual-trained radiologists, so your specialist has the detailed information they need to guide treatment decisions. When you book, our team will explain how to prepare, including any fasting before your appointment.
Perth CT Scan Services
A CT (computed tomography) scan uses x-rays and computer processing to create detailed cross-sectional images of your body for your doctor.
CT scans are available at both of our Perth clinics. Our Perth CT services include:
- CT calcium scoring: measures calcium in the arteries of your heart to help your doctor assess your heart health.
- National Lung Cancer Screening Program: available at Qscan Rockingham and Midland for eligible participants. Talk to your GP about whether you are eligible.
Perth Ultrasound Services
Ultrasound uses sound waves to create real-time images of the inside of your body. It does not use ionising radiation. Your doctor will advise whether ultrasound is the right scan for you. Our sonographers perform your scan, and a Qscan radiologist reports on your images.
Ultrasound is available at both of our Perth clinics. Our Perth ultrasound services include:
- Pregnancy ultrasound
- Pelvic ultrasound
- Breast ultrasound
- Vascular ultrasound
- Musculoskeletal ultrasound
- Abdominal ultrasound
- Carotid ultrasound
Perth X-ray Services
X-ray is a medical imaging method used to create images of the body’s internal structures and tissues, like bones, joints and organs. Your images are reported by a radiologist and sent to your referring doctor.
Walk-in x-rays are available at both of our Perth clinics, so you do not need to book. Please bring your referral and Medicare card.
Perth Bone Density & DEXA Scan Services
A bone mineral densitometry (BMD) scan, measures the density of your bones. It helps your doctor check for osteoporosis and assess your risk of fracture.
DEXA body composition analysis uses similar technology to measure the amount of muscle, fat and bone in your body. Both scans are non-invasive. No referral is required for DEXA scans.
BMD and DEXA scans are available at Qscan Rockingham
