Dr Sam Kruger joined Qscan with extensive experience in general radiology and a focus on musculoskeletal imaging. After completing a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at Bond University in 2009, Dr Kruger undertook internship and residency at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. He completed radiology training at the Austin Hospital in 2017, where he was awarded the HR Sear Prize for being the most successful Part 2 exam candidate in Australia and New Zealand. Following this, he completed a general interventional fellowship in 2018.
Dr Kruger has worked as a staff specialist radiologist in both public and private sectors, including busy multimodality clinics on the Gold Coast since 2020. In 2023, he further refined his expertise by completing a fellowship in musculoskeletal imaging. Dr Kruger is passionate about interventional pain management and prides himself on minimizing discomfort for patients during procedures.
Outside of work, Dr Kruger is married with two children, aged 10 and 11. A self-proclaimed rugby union tragic, he also enjoys endurance sports and woodworking in his spare time.
